Dear KID smART Family,

When we think about the impact that KID smART has had since our founding in 1999, we focus on our students. But none of this would be possible without you in the picture.

This year, KID smART extended our programming to high schools. We're creating online courses for artists with the Louisiana Division of the Arts, and are working with the Preservation Hall Foundation to bring the music and culture of New Orleans to our students. And we're just getting started!

Students with access to arts education are five times less likely to drop out. The product of arts education is not about the masterpiece you see on the wall. It's about how the arts allow students to express complex emotions, develop critical-thinking skills, and reduce feelings of isolation and stress. The arts are also a gateway to joy.

It's up to all of us to paint a vivid portrait of student success.
