Being able to write an effective lesson plan is one of the keys to being a successful teaching artist and a critical factor in achieving positive student outcomes. Workshop participants will explore what goes into creating an effective lesson plan and gain an
understanding of currently accepted best practices in lesson generation, structure, and execution. Drawing on work by Benjamin Bloom, the research from the Project Zero at Harvard University and the Stanford Graduate School of Education, this experiential course seeks to equip artists with the structures, protocols, and theory needed to craft a strong lesson.

120-180 minute workshop: $500
