A city-wide professional development program for educators from 12+ schools. AXIS equips teachers with arts integration strategies, practical tools, and a collaborative community of practice. Participants include approximately 75 educators annually.

Year-round programs hosted at the KID smART Center for Arts & Education, including KID smARTist (student arts studio), Creative Clubhouse, Homeschool Studio, Art and Soul for our 55+ community, and Educator Nights.

Our flagship in-school arts integration program serves students in 12 New Orleans schools. Teaching artists work alongside classroom teachers to embed the arts into core academic subjects. Students develop academic skills alongside creativity, confidence, and critical thinking.

Our Summer Camps offer two weeks of hands-on, arts-integrated learning for young people ages 5–12 at the KID smART Center for Arts & Education.

S.T.E.A.M.Y connects science, technology, engineering, art, and math to New Orleans’ culture through creative exploration. Word Play strengthens reading, writing, and creative expression through arts activities, performances, and engagement with local culture-bearers.

Now in its 13th year, ART JAM is our free annual family arts festival — a community celebration of art, education, and joy featuring hands-on workshops led by our Teaching Artists and community partners, live performances, and arts-based activities for people of all ages. Each activity highlights the ways arts-based instruction advances academic learning, bringing the spirit of our classroom work out into the community

A sophisticated evening of art, community, and celebration that brings together organizational supporters, community leaders, and champions of arts education in New Orleans.

BEST FEST is our free annual end-of-year celebration, held on GiveNOLA Day, honoring the students, Teaching Artists, and schools that make up our community. The event features joyful art experiences, interactive workshops, a student art showcase, live performances, and book giveaways.

BEST FEST is a community celebration and a fundraising moment that helps us continue bringing no-cost arts programs to New Orleans.
