Shanda Domango

Bloomberg Arts Internship Manager

A New Orleans native with a lifelong dedication to dance, creativity, and community — Shanda Domango blends professional arts management, movement training, and holistic wellness to support youth empowerment.

From first stepping into dance at age 2, through earning a Bachelor’s in Business Management (minor in Dance) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette — and later a Master’s in Arts Management — Shanda has committed herself to creating space for artistic expression, healing, and growth. She completed formative internships with the Performing Arts Society of Acadiana, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, and Lula Washington Dance Theatre in Los Angeles, where she developed artistic discipline, technical skills, and creative leadership.

As an AFAA‑certified personal trainer, Shanda further expanded her skill set into fitness and holistic wellness — specializing in youth sports, prenatal fitness, dance‑based movement, Barre Above, and mindful body‑movement modalities. This background gives her a unique perspective on how movement, healing, and creativity intersect — especially for young people navigating life’s challenges.

At Kidsmart, Shanda now leads the Bloomberg Arts Internship Program. She brings strategic arts management experience, a deep commitment to youth development, and a belief in arts as a pathway to self‑expression, resilience, and community connection. She is dedicated to mentoring interns — helping them build not just technical skills, but confidence, voice, and purpose.
